lou Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 One of my relatives is a groundsman at a Prem football ground and they have to lay traps for foxes and hand them over to a professional who then shoots them. If its a lactating female they re-release her so the cubs dont starve to death. Its against the law to release them somewhere else which is a shame. He hates having to do it but they cause major problems on the pitch and training ground. Its a common practice.

lou Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Dissapointing really, so much for this anti fox hunting law. Its hunting with dogs thats banned. Farmers still trap and poison them... in fact more so since the hunting ban. Double edged sword. Its a no win situation really. Nothing will ever stop man doing whats best for man, when it comes to animals
BoneDog Posted 18 July 2009 Posted 18 July 2009 I've got a family of foxes as pets, but they don't actually live with me. They live over the road and I feed em every night between 11.45 and 2.30. I give em a tin of Pedigree Bum, some Webbo chicken sticks and some Winalot biscuits. And once a week I buy em some chicken balls from the Chinese or a large chicken shish from the kebab shop. They sit at the end of my drive every night waitin, it's brilliant goin out cos they don't run off anymore. They love me, it's official. And I love my little furry friends right back

I know what you mean about the screaming. First time I heard it I thought a woman was being attacked or something cos it sounded just like a female scream. I was runnin round the house lookin out the windows and then went to back door and couldn't figure it out for ages Do you know why they do it? Are they fighting or summat?
ozleicester Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 hehe...love it this sounds like our match day plan for the coming season... "the foxes, which have been sneaking onto the pitch at night, had dug holes in the six yard boxes and urinated on the grass." Im sure there is a song in this article somewhere too.

Think its a territorial thing.... like warning off other males or maybe attracting females, thought why any self respecting female would find that racket attractive I dont know
