skinnydipper Posted 15 August 2009 Posted 15 August 2009 Election time next year and in times of the financial crisis and political corruption radical changes are required My Manifesto - A Return To Victorian Values 1. Abolition of the vote for women We are no longer the great nation that we once were. The political emancipation of women has proved to be a mistake, no better illustrated by their preoccupation with "wimmins" rights and the wearing of trousers. This has distracted them from putting tea on the table and darning the socks of the working man. In order to enable women to recognise their true potential they shall no longer have the vote. 2. Abolition of the vote for the lower classes For the most part the lower classes are uneducated. Many are even illiterate. Sticking a ballot paper under their noses is akin to playing russian roulette with the nation's future. The burden of responsibility through voting shall be removed from the lower classes. 3. Better opportunities for the working classes To compensate the lower echelons of society for any perceived loss arising from the removal of the vote it is intended to compensate them through the creation of jobs. The ruling classes shall be paid a "servant allowance" to enable them to employ butlers ,maids, cooks and chauffeurs. The abolition of the minimum wage and other rights of employees such as holiday entitlement should further assist in the creation of employment opportunities. 4. Greater opportunities for children In contrast to those children in so called third world countries many of our children are presently prohibited from working. In order to end this discriminatory practice and in to give them the opportunity of earning pin money , all our children ( save for those in the upper classes ) regardless of age or health shall be permitted to work. The abolition of the minimum wage will assist this policy and it is envisaged that our manufacturing industry will benefit through being able to compete on equal terms with football and garment manufacturers in the developing world. 5. Abolition of the welfare state To bring an end to the "something for nothing " culture that is rife amongst the lower classes. Those who can get work will survive and those who can't will wither. Natural selection shall thrive thereby strengthening the gene pool in that part of society where it is most needed. 6. Child Licences for the lower classes Members of the working class shall require a permit from the ruling class to procreate. This is to combat the problem of overcrowding on our small island. As a matter of policy, permission shall only be granted to the extent that it is necessary to replenish the stock required to provide services to the upper classes 7. The abolition of taxes associated with motoring Congestion problems shall be eased through many of the working classes living " below stairs " and therefore no longer requiring motor transport. In any event most of them will not be able to afford a car. This will have positive environmental advantages and accordingly all motor taxes shall be abolished so as to relieve the burden on the rich. 8. The abolition of reality tv and celebrity This is a cancer and distracts the working class from being productive members of society. The only celebrity is the upper class . The working class is permitted to rub shoulders with the upper class by serving them. 9. Cake time The importance of cake to the physical, emotional and moral welfare of the nation is recognised. The family that eats cake together will thrive. Therefore , regardless of class, all families shall be entitled to one hour of leisure time per week for the purpose of the consumption of cake. It is believed that this manifesto supports those who are most needy in society whilst tackling environmental issues and supporting the family. Your vote is appreciated

MPH Posted 15 August 2009 Posted 15 August 2009 just to add to the womens no vote joke.. here is a GENUINE article from a 1955 edition of the good housekeeping Magazine.. from 'Good Housekeeping Magazine', 13th May 1955THE GOOD WIFE'S GUIDE * Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious dinner ready, on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal (especially his favourite dish) is part of the warm welcome needed. * Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. he has just been with a lot of work-weary people. * Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it. * Prepare the children. Take a few minutes to wash the children's hands and faces (if they are small), comb their hair and if necessary change their clothes. They are little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part. * Be happy to see him. * Listen to him. You may have a dozen things to tell him but the moment of is arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours. * Make the evening his. Never complain if he comes home late, or goes out to dinner or other places of entertainment without you. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure. * Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or have him lie down in the bedroom. have a warm or cool drink ready for him. * Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice. * Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgement or integrity. remember he is the master of the house and as such will always excercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him. * A good wife always knows her place. http://ahappyhousewife.blogspot.com/2006/0...ifes-guide.html

And, fellas, if you can't find a wife like that then marriage will end up as nothing more than an expensive exercise in constant argument, pain and heartache. In many ways the Muslims have got this one worked out.
