Darkzzz_ Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 No thats cool each to there own. Let me ask you a question though as your a graphic designer/photographer, would you rather have a picture on your computer or blown up on a canvas. That is a very good question. I must stress that I am not a graphic designer/photographer though, they are both something I enjoy doing but I am not a pro at all. Back to your question, I do currently only show my photos online on my flickr website but I am starting to print some of my photos for events I cover etc. I will be honest and say that I prefer the print. I still don't like music CD's though.
Daggers Posted 27 August 2009 Author Posted 27 August 2009 Thats basically my point. Music to most people is now disposable and just a lost file on a small box where as to me I like the whole physical aspect. Theres nothing better than getting a fresh vinyl through the post and admiring everything from the artwork to the smell of that bad boy. I tried fitting one of these on the back of my motorbike but it didn't pan out - so I have to make do with 160gb of flaws and the missing frequencies.
ACF Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 This isn't much of a threat. At the very least they should face being tarred and feathered, and ideally sent to Tasmania for hard labour if there is to be any hope of them mending their wicked, wicked ways I could do with a holiday. In Tassie, no you wouldn't. Melbourne however....

If you actually read my post I didn't say all mp3's are bad. I just pointed out that the majority of mp3's available illegally are under 320 kbs or have been encoded more than the once leaving glitches in the audio. If you purchase mp3's they are usually good quality and it seems that if your illeagal sources are good you can get hold of high bit rate mp3's according to people in this thread. Saying that I was watching an interesting video with Stuart Hawkes who is a mastering engineer for the likes of Roni Size, Amy Winehouse, hospital records etc etc who says some sites don't even know how to encode there mp3's properly and he has seen many ready available tunes which have overly compressed by the distributor i.e itunes. As for the gramaphone on the bike that is so yesterday. You should fit a system like the dutch do to there scooters. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

Edmund Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 80watts per channel of quad brilliance, baby. Where are the speakers? Is it similar to this : http://www.mhinstruments.com/ God knows how people can even hear the tunes whilst the motor is running. Perfect when stationary though. In Holland all the punks have systems attached to there scooters, it is quite funny when you hear happy hardcore banging down the street.

Two up front in the fairing, two to the rear by the pillion and the top box. The fairing does such a decent job of killing wind-blast that the rider sits in an environment which I've never experienced before - I can talk to passengers if I want. Which I don't because I'm an antisocial sod. It means that whatever is coming from the CD, MP3CD, 3-band Radio or iPod can be heard brilliantly. I came back from the Dales last weekend listening to us lifting the Ashes, which was nice. MP3CDs are a bitch though - skips about no end. I'd prefer CDs except they take up tons of room - iPod is easy, convenient and I can suffer a drop in audio quality at my age, I've long since lost all high-frequency recognition

When I get a bike I might have to look into this. Don't get me wrong I have an mp3 player as well which I hook up to the aux on my car stereo, I don't just swear by vinyl, it would mean I would have to have some sort of pimp my ride turntable system When I was talking about audio quality I was mainly talking about the things like youtube audio and people who don't encode music properly.
