Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 For those familiar with the concept, two questions: 1) Do the "celebrities" really choose food they absolutely despise as their Food Hell? If Food Hell is voted for, what's the most negative reaction someone has given to eating it? I've never seen the bit where they actually eat the food, just the initial bit a few times. 2) What would possess anyone to spend their money ringing in to vote for one or the other? For those unfamiliar with the concept, you're not missing out.
Guest Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 If I was a celeb, I would definitely lie about my food hell. There is no way I would want to be on TV gagging as I was made to eat something containing fish, or mushroom, or any other food of the Devil. "Of course, James, my favourite food is almonds, but I really, really hate cherries. The thought of combining the two makes me heave just at the thought. If you were to make some kind of frangipan, Bakewell tart concoction, I think I would lose my rag". I could very easily keep a straight face, and even make a slight grimace as I tucked in.

But does that mean there are innocent members of the Great British Public being duped into voting for Food Hell to be inflicted upon celebrities what they think are wankers and that? The whole thing is an absolute disgrace.

To be honest, if you are going to vote, you deserve everything coming to you. My nan used to go on about fools and money quite a bit. She was rich.

I feel like that about any 'celebrity' based 'entertainment'.
Babylon Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 People don't actually ring up to vote though do they?? They ring up and ask a cooking question "how do I make a peanut butter sarnie", they then get asked if it should be food heaven or food hell?!?!

I'll stop writing my placards and collapse my soapbox then.
