Stuliasz Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 Alright guys and gals, just a message to let you all know I will be resuming the player ratings starting next season, but with a difference. I will be setting up a web site with a form that e-mails the results to me rather than just gathering the results directly from this forum. This way it will be a lot easier for me to gather the results rather than having to sift through posts to get them. I will of course still post the results each week on the forum as well as the web site. I'm hoping to secure the domain www.player-ratings.co.uk at some point in the late summer, as this gives me room to then expand the site if I should ever have the time. So basically all I want from you is ideas on what features the web site could have other than the form of course, what awards should be dealt each week, each month etc. and anything else you could suggest. Also how would I go about getting an affiliate so that I can get some money from the site to cover my cost if anyone knows? Thanks.
kenny Posted 11 May 2005 Posted 11 May 2005 Quality work sheff, ive got no ideas for you because im a compute-a-phobe. Just though this thread deserves to go to the top.
Stuliasz Posted 12 May 2005 Author Posted 12 May 2005 Just out of interest, does anyone think this is a bad idea?
Scow Posted 12 May 2005 Posted 12 May 2005 Just out of interest, does anyone think this is a bad idea? 107295[/snapback] Why would anyone think it's a bad idea? Have you got anything sorted with regards to web hosting etc yet?
Stuliasz Posted 12 May 2005 Author Posted 12 May 2005 No I'm going to wait until the football season is over because most deals tend to be on year leases, so it makes sense to run it from just summer to summer.
davieG Posted 12 May 2005 Posted 12 May 2005 No it's an excellent idea, I just can't think of any improvements to how you were reporting it last time. The crucial thing is that it must be less labour intensive for you, which you seem to have in hand. Good Luck with it.
