Tommeh Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 Shit idea and hope it never catches on. They let us sit next to each other despite countless clashes between supporters throughout the last 30 years yet won't let us stand due to 1 incident. Bizzare.
Edmund Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 Will end in tears if Millwall or Leeds try it. My thoughts exactly. The Millwall Vs West Ham match was bad enough with fans segregation imagine without.
Starkwell Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 My thoughts exactly. The Millwall Vs West Ham match was bad enough with fans segregation imagine without. But wasn't that mainly fans that didn't have tickets, miles away at the tube station?
StanSP Posted 10 November 2009 Author Posted 10 November 2009 But wasn't that mainly fans that didn't have tickets, miles away at the tube station? Did you not see what happened inside the stadium?!
Mikey Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 Never happening, and will be glad if it doesn't.
Stuliasz Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 Too many chavs in football for this to work.

Tilley Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 I think it's a great idea. I was gaggin to punch a Leeds fan in the head last Boxing Day when they equalised but the seating arrangements and policing/stewarding made it impossible.

Of course it has to be managed well, and i'm sure the trials will not be without the odd problem, but i remember reading how much the away fans on this board enjoyed travelling in L1 because there was more interaction with the opposing fans. The thing is, what fans have to accept, is that clubs are taking the game away from this kind of violent element, that is why we sit down now and (partly) why it is getting expensive. This kind of program is a logical next step. The amount of people who just go to games to bait and rile away fans is dwindling by each generation.
