Fosse Boy Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 Apparently Ronnie James Dio has been diagnosed with cancer. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8380305.stm Wish him the best. Classic vocalist.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 According to a good friend of his he is very upbeat and going about as normal, it's been detected early and hasn't spread, he should be fine. I really do hope so, one of the best vocalists of our time, just massively underrated. When I saw him with Heaven And Hell earlier this year it was simply stunning. Get well soon fella!
General Smuts Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 Dio has rocked for a long, long time, Now it's time for him to pass the torch. He has songs of wilderbeasts and angels, He has soared on the wings of a demon. It's time to pass the torch, You're too old to rock, no more rockin' for you. We're takin' you to a home, But we will sing a song about you. And we will make sure that you're very well taken care of. You'll tell us secrets that you've learned. Woah! Your sauce will mix with ours, And we'll make a good goulash baby. Dio, time to go! You must give your cape and scepter to me. And a smaller one for KG. Go! Go! Dio! Dio!
Part Of The Crowd Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 Someone's already texting me the inevitable tasteless jokes.
stez Posted 27 November 2009 Posted 27 November 2009 Someone's already texting me the inevitable tasteless jokes. is he famous enough for those? i thought he just tended to replace a band's original vocalist. chin up though
adam1 Posted 28 November 2009 Posted 28 November 2009 I can have the pleasure of saying that I have seen him perform live... at the grand old age of 67. It was at Sonisphere and Heaven and Hell were awesome. Oh and how tastless are these jokes? (ie post them on here)
Part Of The Crowd Posted 28 November 2009 Posted 28 November 2009 Very tasteless, I'm not posting them, I'm not into the whole tasteless joke thing. Heaven and Hell were absolutely amazing at Wacken.
