Cardiff Contingency Plan

Recommended Posts

I suppose a few of the people who are going from here will be ending up in Cardiff regardless of whether the pitch inspection gives us a GO or not.

Was just thinking that a few might fancy a good old-fashioned drink in the City anyway, making the most of the trip etc?

I've not yet met with any of the Foxestalk crew so thought this might be a good opportunity. What's the best way to make contact with a group of you? (P.S. I don't think I can be that bad that you'd regret letting me into the club...)

Do you really want to meet people off of here?

Well everyone else seems to do it. Call me insane but I'm going down to Cardiff alone because none of my mates are committed enough to do the same. It would be nice not to have to hang around completely on my own at these things...

P.S. A drink in the pub looks pretty sad if there's no one with you, at my age at least!

Check out the facebook group. You'll be able to see who some posters are from that.

Failing that, just pm any of the posters you 'connect' with from what you've read!!

Could always stop halfway and go and watch our friends from Cheltenham take on Burton Albion? if Cardiff is snowed under.

That actually sounds like a plan, if I hear that our game is off before I hop on the train to Cardiff!

It's not the snow I'm worried about - hard overnight frost paired with non-functioning undersoil heating...

ANYWAY, I'm sure we'll have no problems so lets stop worrying - mods, can you change this thread to "Cardiff Post-match Celebration Plans" or something?

Michael fish also needs to apologise as he didn't realise it was going to be about -5 in cardiff untill at least lunchtime tomorrow.

Looks like work isnt such a bad thing after all.

Frozen pitch is more of a risk than snow. Stringer says there is a 9am inspection, so we might get news before we set off.

Just to elaborate on that, having a peek, he also says 'Nigel Pearson is "determined" the game go ahead.'

You can tell he was a defender!

It is however absolutely bloody freezing here though! The wind isn't helping either.

Youre in Wales?? OOOOO do us a favour and pop out and do a quick pitch inspection at about 9am eh? Cheers lol:thumbup:
