Collymore Posted 13 May 2005 Posted 13 May 2005 I wonder if there has been another club in the country which has seen as many players arrive and leave as what Leicester have in the last few seasons. I remember before we sold Heskey how we were the opposite and we were renowned for our team spirit and work like performances. MON had done some early dealings and had bought 4 years worth of stash at trade prices, but deep down, even though we probably had the best team that the club had ever seen I always found a new player arriving like a drug and felt like a heroin addict wondering teletext looking for my next hit. Of course Peter Taylor was soon to arrive from Columbia with the biggest stash of heroin we had ever seen and we were soon to realise he had bought a bad stash at extortionate prices. The fans realised that this heroin was bad and were lucky to sell some off to clubs like Stoke and other desperate clubs just before the market crash. When Bassett and Adams arrived there was hope, they managed to get some old stock at reasonable prices which worked at first but then the evil drug lords of the higher order punished us for our weak contracts and took the best we had and left us with crap. Now my veins are getting very tired and I just hope Craig’s Contacts from North of the boarder pay off. I'm rehabilitated and would give anything for that inactive MON trading period to come back. I have learnt my lesson. I would jut like to add I do not, or ever intend to use heroin
Scarby Posted 14 May 2005 Posted 14 May 2005 Its important to keep the same players for a number of seasons so its important to buy right! look at Uniteds success all based on the same team around the same players for years!!! I agree lets get a squad in that can gel and work with each other instead of beating each other up. TEAM SPIRT

Bedford Fox Posted 14 May 2005 Posted 14 May 2005 its all well and good sayin keep the same player but if the players are not good enough than the manager must change it!!!
