PAULCFC Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 Got a 360 and a ps3 with a hdmi monitor that has one hdmi input,is there a way to connect them both without the faff of disconecting the cable every time i want to change consoles?
Mickey O'Neil Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 Yes mate. I've got this OPPO switcher. Amazon have them here You can buy something a lot cheaper if you want though. *Edit* If you're in the market for a home cinema amp, most of them nowadays have HDMI switching built in. Most of the big brands like Sony, Onkyo, Yamaha etc have them built in. If you are going to pay £90-odd quid for one of these, may as well spend another £100 quid and have a shiny new amp as well!

Get this. Only £14.99, you can't go wrong. Whichever system you use most put on input 1 as that takes priority over input 2. Even if both machines are on it'll still read from input 1. So for example the 360 is in input 1 and ps3 input 2, then the 360 will show up. Power that down and it immediately switches it over to PS3 on input 2. Clever piece of kit for the price.
