Who is IMO

Just in case you aren't joking, IMO means 'in my opinion'... it wasn't the initials of a player.

I'm afraid that MDV nor connelly are the answer to our problem, they both have the potential to come good, but we know what happened with AA and IMO city is much to important for any manager to wait and see.

I would suggest that there is a 50% chance connely will produce the goods and about 10% chance of MDV performing, and if city leave it till next season to find out then it will be to late and we will be back where we are now.   We need a quality player that CL can build the team around and that player has to be a proven goal scorer.  Not a wait and see scorer.  It is just not worth the risk

I think your being abit harsh on Connolly. His end to the season has shown that he is more than capable of doing the business here. He finished on 14 goals, which isn't brilliant but isn't that bad either. What we need is another striker who will potentially score 15-20 goals aswell. Connolly scored 7 goals in his last 11 games, which indicates that his form has picked up and he's ready to fire in 20+ goals next season. I think if a player ends the season on a run that would average 28 goals in 44 matches over a season should be given next another chance. I also think that the chances of him succeeding next season are more than 50%, I mean if he'd scored 6 more goals which he easily could have done he'd only be 4 off the top scorer for the championship. All hypothetical of course, but with his record before he came here and a poor season by his standards this season he's never going to be far off 20 goals a season as he's that type of striker.

I challenge you to find us a better striker than Connolly within our financial constraints, who's still in his 20's, played 40+ games at international level and scored well over 100 goals in his career which average about a goal every 2.5 matches.

IMO I think we under-rate Conolly. Has not had a great season for us, but still hes weighed in with 12 goals I think.. imagine what we might be able to get out of him from a good season.. I think he seems a very intelligent player, creative, he seems to be able to hold the ball up etc and when hes got a bit of confidence he can take his chances.. good penalty taker aswell which is always a bonus.. stick with Conolly and hope De Vries improves next season and if he dont within 10 games or so it may be worth getting in someone else to partner Conolly..

Transfer window next season, you have to get it right in the summer or you are stuck with what you have got until January.

Not in The Championship, that rule doesn't come in to effect until the season after I think?!

EDIT- I found This. No evidence that anything has changed but I may be wrong.

I know de Vries needs to be given a pre-season, but I don't think he'll start scoring reguarly next season. He seems to lack composure in front of goal, scuffing a worrying amount of shots.

I think de Vries would be very useful coming off the bench to offer us something different - I'm not sure sure he can offer much more though. However, I'm willing to give him a chance.

We need someone with a bit of pace and strength to play upfront with Connolly ideally. Moore had the pace, but not the strength or application.

I reckon MdV and Connolly will be a terrific partnership next season, very much in the mold of Shipperley and Connolly when they were at Wimbledon together.

MdV will be fully fit and his quality will be there for people to see, CL had to get him in when he did and also had to throw him in when he did otherwise more questions would have been asked than are now. Charlton away anyone? when he ran his bollocks off and probably set himself back regards his injury. Wait until next season.

As for Connolly I would build my team round him, he has fantastic ability and will score a bucket load next season. The way he finished the season was DC returning to his best, with a team playing to his strengths.

We have Dion, MvV and Connolly for next season, another addition of a pacy dynamic forward and we'll be well set for forwards.
