Bellend Sebastian Posted 24 March 2010 Posted 24 March 2010 Maybe it is a bit full on, and I'm all for freedom of choice, but I personally am glad these things get suggested every now and then just so I can enjoy the outburst of reactionary rage they inevitably provoke. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8583551.stm Within the page there's a link to the 'Have Your Say' section, where most of the contributors seem to have got confused about the difference between doctors and the government. Doctors might be public sector employees, but they're not actually the government - they can't make you do things you don't want to. I must be doing something wrong - I've never noticed the government trying to 'micro-manage' my life. I'm obviously not that interesting
Webbo Posted 24 March 2010 Posted 24 March 2010 Okay Bellers I'll bite. There is absolutely no danger to the health of children in a playground from an adult smoking metres away surrounded by millions of litres of fresh air. This is just an attempt by doctors to ban smoking by stealth. If that's what they believe then fair enough, just have the courage to do it honestly.
