Russell352 Posted 17 April 2010 Posted 17 April 2010 Just a quick one to say their commentary is top notch in my opinion and they deserve a thread (apologies if there already is one). I switched to listen to a few other championship games today (17th) after the 3rd went in and all were boring. Not a touch on ours. Fair play.

Candidcamera Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 I have a long trek to get to matches so listen to more commentary than most but today I was at the match and I believe that the radio commentary thought it wasn't a penalty but I have to say they were wrong. What spoils it for me is how sure they are when it is such a close call. There is no doubting their enthusiasm but nine times out of ten they call it wrong in my opinion. Time and again they call the decision when in full commentary and then dwell for too long on their opinions differing from the actual decision. It would be more helpful to the listener that they just got on with it.
Tony Pine Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 well i was sitting directly in line with the incident and no1 around me thought it was a pen so....
Nick Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 well i was sitting directly in line with the incident and no1 around me thought it was a pen so.... I was at work and I definitely thought it was a pen.
carterfox90 Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 think stringer is a very passionate commentator & a breathe of fresh air to what we used to have to listen to apart from the legend mr foulger
Guest Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 well my view>>>>yours If there was ever a phrase that summed up this forum perfectly, this would be it
ozleicester Posted 21 April 2010 Posted 21 April 2010 I have enjoyed Stringers commentary this year much more than that other knob who's name escapes me, who was on for the last couple of years. Stringer has been slightly parochial during most of his calls but again i dont mind that, and... its better than previous. He was very clear that he didnt think it was a peno.. and having seen replays id have to agree, he was also scathing about Howards tackle/sending off, and again.. i think he was right. all in all, im pretty happy with his work this year, although its been a pretty good year to be commentating
leftsideoverhere Posted 21 April 2010 Posted 21 April 2010 well i was sitting directly in line with the incident and no1 around me thought it was a pen so.... Well, that'll teach you not to sit with the away fans, Tony.
Mack Posted 21 April 2010 Posted 21 April 2010 I noticed Stringer no longer interviews Pearson...........
