transfer rumours

Freddy eastwood is on his way to the city. Enquiry has been accepted though only problem could be if Southend get promoted through play offs. Also rumours of Marcus Stewart training at the city after his move to Bristol city falls through. Final point is that. Nuno Morais, the portugese prodiogy is apparently coming on a season long loan, though Levein does not want loan signings he cant miss this one. Good news all of them i feel.

Erm.......... Marcus Stewart has been released by Sunderland and some people touted him as a potential signing for us. However he is 32 and a Bristol lad who happens to be a Bristol City fan and is training with them so thankfully that'll be the end of that.

Why would Bristol City still be training when the season is over?

Lots of Clubs keep their players coming in until the end of May, they do various testing and preperations for the close season. Players will have specific fitness regimes worked out and they'll be given dietry advice and guidlines for their 'holiday'.

It avoids the players coming back to the Club for preseason looking fat and being unfit.

Sounds like a good idea.

However, I wasn't sure because of Levein's comments that after the Plymouth game the players would be free to go because that was that - there is no point hanging about until the end of the month doing naff all on the training ground.
