There have been previous announcements that the world is about to end.

The millenium bug aka the urban myth which got out of hand.

Ancient civilisations. Especially when the 'predictions' are being interpreted by a moron who wants to sell his book on how to survive such a disaster (maya 2012 disaster 'nibiru' - This guy wasn't an expert on ancient languages and yet came up with a load of bullshit - I cannot be arsed to find the relevant links). Then there are the idiots who believe such a thing. Ask them why we don't know about it given our ability to track asteroids etc and they answer with either 'Masons' or 'Bilderberg.'

BUT this is different.

When a bunch of scientists get together to discuss such a problem when it is ESTABLISHED that it can arise, then generally I would be slightly worried. If anything the world WILL NOT end but we might face a few 'tiny' problems.

How to survive;

Do not live under a flight path (esp ones with new airbus or get on any planes).
