Four games in and the optimism bubble has well and truly burst!

We over-achieved last season - wave of euphoria due to our promotion / clever loan signings / Pearson's tactics - or a combination of all three.

The pressure and weight of expectation is just too much too soon. How can we possibly compete for a top six finish when we have a new manager, with completely different tactics and read of the game, as well as a change of personnel that is currently taking place?

Last season, we had a settled group of players that knew the requirements of the gaffer. This year, they are having to learn a new style of football whilst the backbone of the team is being tweaked and changed.

Sousa doesn't know his strongest 11, and they don't know each other (let alone being able to communicate!).

The boo's that rang out at half time and at the final whistle on Saturday were out of order. If we had played badly (Burnley), then fair enough. The truth is, the team are trying to adapt and are having to do it publicly in front of an audience of 16k+ each week.

It will take time - probably the rest of this season (hence Sousa's two year promotion target). A mid table finish is probably the best we can hope for.

Fickle fans need to adjust their own expectations.

Probably seemed that way because some muppets kept singing songs like 'DJ fook off. DJ is a wan***, Heskeys comin home, we want pearson back and Sousa wants the sack. Obviously not too many people wanted to join in with these songs. The same person that started off all the DJ songs constantly sings 'our support is fvckin s***', and then if it goes quiet shouts 'GET BEHIND UMMM'. Clowns.

know who u mean now. i was standing directly behind him too
