Kilworthfox Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 L1 yesterday, angered me as much as the poor performance! A minority on L1 commented that: DJ is a w@nker, We want Nigel Pearson Back, Lamey is shit, Moreno is shit, Andy King is our saviour, as is Matty Fryatt. After 4 games it does not take too long to realise that Leicester City knob head fans are the same as other knob head knee, jerk reaction fans! I dislike losing, but I don't forget my logic when we do. On reflection mistakes were made by all players, some more than others, however to start barracking your own team after 4 league game is obscure to say the least, isn't it? In truth we could easily have beaten a poor Reading side! It is plain to see that some things need to be worked on, like defending from corners, the other goal was Moreno's fault as he initially did well but tried 2 play his way out rather than distributing, but I make mistakes playing football, so does Wayne Rooney so get off the guys back, eh? Time is something in life which noone can buy, its precious, lets get behind a man who has won more medals than any other fomer manager (as a player), this guy has to know what he is on about, just give him some time, 4 games is no where near enough!!!
1964FOX Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Yes I agree, chanting abuse at your team is not a good thing. Some one should set up a group that only chants positively no matter what the score or the performance and tries to lift the lads for a whole 90 minutes. i would suggest if such a group is formed then all positive fans join it to help the lads out and become a genuine 12th man.

What a great idea On the subject of L1 were they very quiet yesterday?

Now doesn't this sound familiar
Unabomber Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 I agree, it has been a while since we have done so bad so I had almost forgotten how embarrassingly kneejerk our fans reactions are. The boos at half time were an absolute joke, how is that going to help anything at all. Like you said if has only been a few games and things can change quickly in this league.
MC Prussian Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Well, there was a bald-headed knob in a pink shirt in the row behind me in L1, just gobbing off at EVERY single player that was on the pitch today. "Shit, fook, ****, piss-poor" and whatnot. Reminded me of someone else posted of Facebook of a young QPR lad having a go at his team for more than three minutes.
Lillehamring Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 It is plain to see that some things need to be worked on, like defending from corners, the other goal was Moreno's fault as he initially did well but tried 2 play his way out rather than distributing, but I make mistakes playing football, so does Wayne Rooney so get off the guys back, eh? to be honest, even that goal wasn't totally moreno's fault, what he did didn't help, but the fact is when they broke from moreno's challenge the defense were all over the place and shapeless, leaving Lamey to pick up two players. that was a team error, really.
maddog Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 The Dj chant was cringeworthy. Effectively calling our best player a willy puller and telling him to fook off really doesn't help.
m00nie Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 at the end of the day your always going to get different opinions on things.. some people like to vent when things not going right, others like to get behind the team no matter what some like to shout sing and be vocal others like to sit and watch it quietly. even on here its all the same, full of differences, some still banging on about NP and bring him back etc others looking forwrds instead.. fans pay there money to watch so there all entitled to there own opinions n actions.. passion effects people different.... just because its different from your dont mean its right or wrong..
Benji Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 yes, yes and yes Some guy was even booing after a misplaced Dyer pass during the first half, I mean of all the players to boo yesterday, DYER?? Let's not forget people were wanting Pearson out all last season, and again after the first leg against Cardiff. Nothing changes, too many idiots. The moment Moreno gave away the ball for the first goal you just knew you'd come on here to a load of below 5 ratings and abuse about being unable to defend when lets face it, he didn't really put a foot wrong bar the goals (?unsure who was supposed to be marking Mills from the corner, but aren't we playing the dreaded zonal marking?). He made a hell of a lot more tackles and interceptions than Hobbs. Even Lamey, I can't even really remember him being beaten by the left winger, I know Kebe beat Bruno a lot more times. Fact is, had we scored a second and won 2-1, most wouldn't have minded about the poor first half, but their second has glossed over what was a pretty good second half.

I fully support the team at the game but I reserve the right to criticise them on here and as for Moreno he did more wrong than right and I've not seen him have decent game yet not even as a DCM in the 1st half at Leeds on top of that he does more hoofing than Hobbs and Morrison combined, Sure he has one or two good moments but they're are far out numbered by his poor play. maybe he's not yet acclimatised but then he should get that in the reserves but then we don't have one of them either, Frankly we're a tin pot club trying to pass ourselves off as something special.
Father Ted Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Add to that, the thick fcukers singing Heskey's coming home
Asha Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Good post Kilworth. Although most of it is that big clueless bald guy who stands behind me, the one who kept singing "Sousa, wants the sack" and "we want our pearson back". Idiot. I swear someone behind me said 'bring on Gradel' at some point too.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 The Dj chant was cringeworthy. Effectively calling our best player a willy puller and telling him to fook off really doesn't help. I thought u said they were chanting about DJ? And I have NEVER booed my team - I mean, it's not in the job title is it?... SUPPORTER! Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I wouldn't like to give mine on the people who moronically fail to get behind their own team.

No problem with it at all, especially when its constructive. Its the large scale quick fire reaction I'm getting at, not to mention the scapegoating of single players. I'm not going to lie and pretend things are rosy, I'd much prefer Hobbs and Morrison together, that said I think we have bigger problems than Moreno whos name is the first brought up every week so far. Yesterday he was caught out trying to play the ball out of defence, an ethos installed by the manager and even hobbs and Berner have been caught out this season trying to be clever at the back. I mean what has N'Guessan done to warrant first team football? He took on his defender about once or twice in 90 minutes, Dyer put him to complete shame again yesterday. Oakley floats around in games while our best midfielder King (shock horror I'm saying this) lingers on the bench and Hobbs has looked pretty ordinary recently even if he is the first name I'd put on the team sheet. But personally I think these are minor issues, some people are making out we're as good as relegated! In a way this start has been a nice little reality shock, and those that kept asking for Pearson's head might actually appreciate what a great job he did and what we're asking Sousa to exceed.

I swear someone behind me said 'bring on Gradel' at some point too. Haha and when they started chanting 'DJ fook off' they all started pointing at him because he had DJ Campbell 32 on his shirt.

Jordan Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 People need to come to grips with reality about Pearson. That said, however, Leicester's next three games are: Coventry (A) Cardiff (H) QPR (H) so it's not unreasonable to worry that Leicester could wind up falling even further behind the pack within the next three weeks.
lcfc_sam_p Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 What a great idea On the subject of L1 were they very quiet yesterday? Probably seemed that way because some muppets kept singing songs like 'DJ fook off. DJ is a wan***, Heskeys comin home, we want pearson back and Sousa wants the sack. Obviously not too many people wanted to join in with these songs. The same person that started off all the DJ songs constantly sings 'our support is fvckin s***', and then if it goes quiet shouts 'GET BEHIND UMMM'. Clowns.
Raj Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Im sure i speak for a few(unless its just my age and time of life) but im slowly falling out of love with LCFC and football in general. I dont even feel overly bothered when we lose nowadays as opposed to previous years when it would ruin my weekend. Dumb City fans who make dumb remarks make me feel ashamed to be a human never mind a fellow City fan. There are plenty who have their head screwed on but they are the silent majority, its the vocal minority who talk shiiiite... Win,lose or draw, its only football and we as areshole fans pay money to help fund some pricks get rich kicking a ball around(half of them cu.nts cant even do that properly!) Im just glad we are not Man city who feel it wise to pay mediocre players a fortune and then not even have them paying.....I really hope football blows its bubble and resorts to the good old days...but i wont hold my breath. Good luck to the fosse Boys too in what they are trying to achieve....it may be a hard struggle cos your coming up against people who dont know the ordinary fans mentality and what they are about...

It's been dire though Tom, defending is not good enough, think there have been more Howlers this season the there were in the entireity of last season, and there are obvious mistakes being made in team selection we can all see that.

Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Yeah I know mate, but ....4 games! C'mon I agree wanting to Nigel Pearson back when the ship has sailed and calling for the managers head is perhaps a little unfair on Sousa but I think the frustrations are merrited to an extent, it has been a truly dire start, bit much to ask people to be happy and positive there is nothing to be happy or positive about. Like you say we weren't terrible Saturday but Reading at Home, 0 points, really not good.
