lavrentis Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Obviously last season was our 125 season but I was reading wikipedia about our history.. In 1919, when League football resumed after World War I, Leicester Fosse ceased trading due to financial difficulties of which little is known. The club was reformed as "Leicester City Football Club", particularly appropriate as the borough of Leicester had recently been given city status. So if we reformed in 1919 and Fosse existed from 1884-1919 surely Leicester City's 125's season would be 2044? I'm unsure as to what "reformed" is, as in making a new club? Might be reading too much into this but thought it was interesting.
1964FOX Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Several clubs have had name changes but are recognised as the same club but can see where you are coming from.

orangecity23 Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I'd like to see what kind of topics you'd see on Foxestalk 2044. I can see it now: Catering robots were rude and unhelpful. Using cyborg players - is it cheating? Why won't the FA bring in goalline technology

Using cyborg players - is it cheating? Why won't the FA bring in goalline technology :Quite interesting forecasting It is by then allowed to stand for a maximum of 1 minute during a match, or 30 seconds if you want to wave your flag at the same time. This will be under strict scrutiny of the grandchildren of Lee Hoos. "We're now too old for standing, singing and flag-waving anyways" says bitter Fosse oldBoys to the Leicester Mercury in 2044 as they were denied entrance for possible hazardious wheel-chairing. Alex Ferguson is also still manager at Manchester United.
