Hullfox Posted 22 May 2005 Posted 22 May 2005 Having read a recently closed topic, I can't help wondering what connection two young people living in Leicester can have with religious hatred? Surely if it exists, we are no further forward than the 70's really, it is just manifesting itself in a different form. I hope that someone can explain this to me without setting it all off again and getting the topic closed, it's a serious point.

I'm not a big Celtic fan, but i like them a whole lot more than Rangers at this point
Macca4lcfc Posted 22 May 2005 Posted 22 May 2005 people dont use it to spite catholics, they use it against celtic fans. Celtic fans insult rangers in the same way. Nothing personal!

Macca4lcfc Posted 22 May 2005 Posted 22 May 2005 but its no different to leicester fans to forest, derby etc. Just unfortunate that it use to be a religious thing. but most rangers fans dont even know what he words mean or the religious backgrounds to them. its a way of life

With Celtic and Rangers it runs much deeper, people getting killed, victimised etc and that is why it must stop.

Teeno Posted 22 May 2005 Posted 22 May 2005 It's pathetic how people can be so immature and hateful, I wonder if Oli even knows what the word Fenian means?
Durnerz Posted 23 May 2005 Posted 23 May 2005 Its sad, it was on a documentry on Panarama a few weeks back about it all originating from Ireland. It's sad and especially as my family are from the Green side of Glasgow and I favour Celtic due to them and also their Leicester influences (O'Neill and Lennon being my favorite City personnel ever) its a shame people can't just stick to football, surely if Rangers reply to these Celtic morons who taunt them doesn't it make them just as bad?
Guest Posted 23 May 2005 Posted 23 May 2005 It's the one part of being a Rangers fan I dislike. The title is won on a football field, not in a Church, so leave the sectarian shite out of it, thank you.
