davieG Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 City And Aspire Group Form Partnership Posted on: Mon 20 Sep 2010Leicester City Football Club and The Aspire Group today announced that they are partnering to sell tickets and provide customer services for supporters for the npower Championship club. The Aspire Group will manage the outbound ticket sales operation at the 'Fan Relationship Management Centre' located at the Walkers Stadium under the guidance of the Club. The Aspire Group's (TAG's) proprietary FRMC model is a unique way to maximise ticket sales revenue and attendance by providing a superb customer experience for fans on ticket sales and service calls. TAG's extensive experience in ticket sales and customer service in North America will be a critical factor as Leicester City looks to increase revenues, attendance, and provide their fans with better service. "The Aspire Group has seen this model work in the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, and in Collegiate Athletics," said Paul Hunt, Commercial Director of Leicester City Football Club. We have been very impressed by their depth of experience and are confident that the FRMC model will increase our sales while providing unsurpassed customer service to our fans." The operation will be managed by John Mathers, a citizen of both Britain and Canada. John's responsibilities include the overseeing of third-party ticket sales and service initiatives for LCFC. The primary focus relies on ticket sales revenue and growth across all sectors, customer retention and maintaining excellent customer service. Prior to joining The Aspire Group, John was the Director, Ticket Sales and Service, for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League for four seasons. Mathers will be jointly directed by The Aspire Group's General Manager, Bill Fagan, and Leicester City Football Club Commercial Director, Paul Hunt. "This partnership is an important first step in our strategy to expand into the European sports market," said Bill Fagan, General Manager of The Aspire Group. "We are all very excited about the potential of mixing North American sales techniques with British knowledge and experience in arguably the most passionate and loyal football territory in the world."
ramboacdc Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 well i tried to buy them by email last week and got barked out so lets hope you can from now on.
bigneville Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Have tried to buy away tickets online for every game so far this season, without success at any point. Every time I email the club to explain my problem, they call me back and do it over the phone.
Jay Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 I kind of fear the worst from this to be honest, I imagine what this will mean is a less personal service from the club, no call backs, various employees made redundant and the service farmed out to a third party with stupid handling charges, no knowledge of the club or the ground and stupid booking fees like seetickets, ticketmaster etc and almost impossible to get hold of. Hope I am wrong though
