Every Thai person has a nickname, usually inherited at an early age. It can be anything, from an animal to a fruit, or anything else. I've got a colleague called Moo (which means Pig), as she was fat as a baby.

Out of interest, there isn't a direct translation of 'Top' in Thai language. Chances are it means the English version, as old Vichai thought his boy was destined for the top. So Kitchandro's actually spot on!
