davieG Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Source - Merc Sol Bamba's strike after 45 seconds for Leicester City against Manchester City may be the fastest-ever goal a player has scored on debut for the club, but it is not the fastest in the club's history. Recently-departed Matty Fryatt holds that record for his strike after just nine seconds at the Walkers Stadium against Preston North End in April, 2006. That beat the previous fastest of 10 seconds, which was held by Tom Dryburgh (v Swansea Town at Filbert Street in March, 1953), Derek Hines (at home versus Lincoln City in November the same year) and Ian McNeill (away to Nottingham Forest in March, 1957).

Is he also the first to score with his first touch on his debut?
Narborough_fox Posted 11 January 2011 Posted 11 January 2011 Is he also the first to score with his first touch on his debut? I think (correct me if i'm wrong) Mark Yeates did it. Not 100%
