They're not strictly lawful The Premier League sells the TV rights for the PL abroad, which they say are only for broadcast in that country However a pub recently won a case and was allowed to subscribe to the overseas broadcaster (for much less than Sky charge pubs) and show PL matches - I believe the Premier League & Sky are appealing and its all going through the courts at the moment.... given the billions at stake & the lobbying that must be taking place, I'd be surprised if the PL & Sky didn't win in the end, and if so any equipment you buy will be come useless You can try Googling Dreambox as well, they're products are damn good but do cost up to £800 for their HD PVR model, but as they are often used to circumvent paying Sky for premium channels are also legally 'grey'
