Jack Hobbs in Loughborough Town

I agree with Ashby, Hobbs has been treated badly and personally I don't feel Hobbs can be rated at all on his performances for us this year as he's spent every game out of position - yes, we'll get some fans saying it's no different from the right but it clearly is.

Also I disagree with the comments regarding Hobbs not being good with the ball on the floor. He came through Liverpool and you have to be more than a head the ball away player to come from their set up. He more than proved himself last year with being put on stand by for U21's and captaining our side out to the play offs. I think some of our fans are blinded by money now. If Sven had any intension of keeping Hobbs he would have filled the void left by Brown departure, instead he goes and buys Bamba who is older and more experienced than Hobbs - not in the championship but international.

If Sven wanted to keep him surely he should have giving him the chance in RCB and put Bamba on the left. For me Sven isn't the right man, not just do to with Hobbs, that's just one of the things that I believe a good manager would have tried. At the end of the day he is only here for the money and if a bigger club come in and willing to pay his ridiculous wages then I have no doubts he'll be gone. The owners have clearly bought us as a toy. Typical rich family wanting to flash the cash but if I was them I would slightly annoyed at the cash Sven has splashed and nothing in return - ie Promotion or even play offs.

Yes he came in when we were bottom, blah blah blah but I think Powelly would have achieved the same result in the table now with the players we already had. I haven't been blown away by any of Sven's signings other than. Davis thought he was it, Bamba seems very cocky on the ball with not much to be cocky about, Mee, has got better but I'd rather Brown, PVA has the pace but not the finish, Yak is the most lazy player I have watched, to watch him run around with no heart when we have young Waggy (when fit) drives me insane.

Dyer is anotherr player who I rate very highly and he is just being pushed aside. Weale has been awful the past few games but I think its confidence, he was playing well and getting raves reviews from the radio and us fans on here and then he's dropped. We need continuity in the squad. If Sven is still here in the summer I do hope he invests with players who want to play for us instead of coming here for the pay cheque.

I hope our young boys stay but I can't see it. Waggy will not want to stay, signed for big money and done nothing. No wonder Bruce jumped at the money. Not that I blame waggy for it all, you can see the lad wants to play but he hasn't been given the run, maybe it's his first touch or just not one of Sven's faves but he must be looking for a move in the summer.

King has been apparently looked at by Everton - yes he's signed a new deal but contracts don't mean much today. Wellens - in my view should be our captain. King is nowhere near captain material. He's been lost of late and for my 7 year old son to say 'you only know he's on the pitch when he scores' says it all really. I would prefer Jack Cork or Spearing back if I'm being honest but he has done well to score the goals he has. I think our main problem is we have some good and some ok individuals but we're not a good 'team'.

I was at the QPR game on monday with my family but watched the highlights and Watfords keeper was horrendous on monday and helped us out. I don't know about everyone else but every sat I'm not sure what we're going to get. Either a horror display or a good game of football. My cousin is a hull fan (he commented on Hobbs' game a few weeks back) and he is wasn't sure on Pearson. He said there was no chance of getting even close to the play off's with the job he had to do but he's building a very very good side and I hate to say it but after mondays performance at QPR those boys seem to want it and work as a team, I haven't seen that desire since NP left and that one game powelly took over.

I do hope we get to the Prem and I'm sure we will do in time but a fast fix for getting there isn't the right way. Next year I would like to see Wellens with the armband, Hobbs back at RCB, Waggy having a go and a Scott Parker type player in the squad. I'll be honest, I haven't enjoyed the Sven circus that has hit the Walkers.
