m00nie Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 If this was the case then you should of said something along the lines off 'Because SOMEBODY ELSE saw him you think were selling him' Not 'You seen him and now you think were selling him' Yes i saw him, i never said we were selling him.. Cheers. your going round in circles..

Sylvie85 Posted 24 April 2011 Posted 24 April 2011 I know some people won't be arsed with this, but I went to watch hull yesterday. I know it sounds kind of stupid because hull conceded 4 but I thought jack had a great game, really strong, dictated there defence. Looks to be gaining confidence from playing regularly. Still looked head and shoulders above any options we have at the minute. I'm aware this may be pointless information but thought I'd let people know.

Ashby Posted 24 April 2011 Posted 24 April 2011 Sven made it quite clear that Hobbs was 5th or 6th choice at centre back so why on earth would he want to remain with Leicester. I to was at Hull yesterday and I have to agree that he did have a good game.
getty5 Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 Hobbs and his girlfriend live in Quorn, they moved there at xmas so he clearly didn't see he was going to be pushed out. My cousin worked with his girlfriend in Cruise a few years ago. She's from London and does acting or something performance related but worked in there for a few months when Hobbs was on loan so he isn't with a school teacher. Also I was at the QPR game on monday and Hobbs was solid. Fantastic performance and I was in the pub with the QPR fans afterwards and the were all very impressed. Will be interesting to see if he comes back. Maybe he was down on his day off.
SMX11 Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 I think Sven said that he needs games to get his confidence back, I can't see him being let go on the cheap that's for sure.
getty5 Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 My cousin said she was. I never met her but he pointed her out and she is tiny! Pretty girl tho to be fair.

Stevosevic Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 What is it that Sven don't see in Hobbs? Bewilders me If Hobbs spends the rest of his career in the Championship, Sven would have been right. If he goes on to be a solid premiership defender, we can question him.
Haydos Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 The managers role is to inspire it and to motivate... Simple as From personal experience I can say that man-management can do wonders for an individual if handled well. I used to have little confidence or direction playing rugby in Oadby but one coach that came in to coach the colts and made me into a completely different player and I was playing for the first team at 17 after he was there for 6 months or so. Hobbs has ability and I'm pretty sure Pearson took a special interest with him and made him believe in himself. He had no guidance after the summer and I think that's badly affected him. Some players need it.
Ashby Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 A new manager has new players - Hobbs is happy at Hull as you can see by his performances there. SGE does not see him in his plans - probably good news for Hobbs at the end of the day as SGEis a money man as we all know. We are getting loads of dosh to spend so Premiership is GUARANTEED!! Most Championsip club managers have just experience to go on so money could buy us! Hopefully we can keep most of the loan players. Hobbs has played I think about started 6/7 games at Hull and has come on for a couple timesof as a sub and been solid in all of them and I believe from forums I have been into he has been excellent - QPR fans were impressed. I think he will go - he was treated harshly so good luck Jack - You will do well because I met you a couple of times and you were really a nice down to earth guy. I think Pearson will try to go for stability and hunger but our cash could do it. Good luck Hobbsey!

funkyrobot Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 I rate hobbsy and I think he's been very unlucky that sge has shown little interest in him. It must be frustrating for the lad.

I think Pearson will try to go for stability and hunger but our cash could do it. Good luck Hobbsey! How exactly was he treated harshly? I like Hobbs but he has not been the same player this season and cannot pass. We are a team who likes to keep the ball on the floor these days and he cannot get to grips with it. He is a robust defender and is at his best when he is just has to play the stopper role. Unfortunately Sven wants a defender to do more than just defend. I am sure he is happy at Hull and will progress well under Pearson who as a player was similar to him. I can see him going to Hull in the Summer for probably about £1 million. They get a player who fits nicely into their system and we get a little bit more money for Sven to build his team. A win win situation. If he does go I hope he goes on to bigger and better things but I can only see him being a bit part player at best for us next season if he stays. If Sven had any real intention of keeping him he would not have loaned him for the rest of the season let alone to his former manager who rates him very highly.
