Im not missing the point, im merely saying that you are asking for patience for the man yet sven hasnt shown that same patience with players who could play well in his team. Hobbs can play, he was schooled at Liverpool. He's good on the floor, you guys have short memories. Waghorn wasn't given fair game time and Sven hasn't shown any patience with him despite flashes of brilliance.

Managers are there in the seat, paid the millions to make those calls mate! It may or may not be 'fair' on Hobbs, Waggy and the rest but beyond a point who cares! If Sven can build his own team (this summer) and get us up next season..thats all I care about! If he fails then he deserves to be let go..simple. Let him make the calls and take accountability for those (AND THAT MEANS PLAYING IN PL THE SEASON AFTER NEXT!!..nothing less)

Yeh I see your points, I'm just not entirely convinced that Sven is building a proper team with good foundations and with a long term future. I have been frequently puzzled by his evaluation of players that he has either discarded or signed and I feel that the current team are more mercenaries than a team. He'll hopefully sort out a better blend next year and build a long term team more like a man utd than a man city or Chelsea.

For goodness sake he's only had one full transfer window to operate in, where prices are often inflated. I'll agree that some of his signings have been short term but it was to be expected when we were pushing for the play-offs. I'll judge his team building skills when he's has a pre-season to clear out who he doesn't want and bring in who he wants.
