The Sven Revolution Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Sven has had money this season - he has failed. How many other champsionship managers have had the money he has had - lets hope with however much more money he gets - he does his job next season! How many managers have taken a team from the bottom of the table to just outside play-offs after ten games played in the season! SVEN WAS ALWAYS PLAYING CATCH AND WE TRIED HARD! Yes, he and the young players may have made a few mistakes but thats how you learn..if he fails to achieve promotion next season then he has failed...hopefully we will go up..so until we find out come may next year..lets be positive!

I genuinely appreciate your enthusiasm I really do.. I'd just like to read more posts from you about 'How' you think we are going to go up? The three teams coming down next year, bouyed by the parachute payment (I think that still applies) are not gonna be any mugs are they? Wolves, West Ham, Wigan, Blackpool ? are all gonna be in with a bloody good shout. Then there will be either Swansea, the Trees, Cardiff, Borough (who are starting to get it together) etc.. Next season will be tough, if not tougher than this one. So, optimism aside, tell me how you think we are going to go up and the reasoning behind your arguments. I personally think Sven will do very well to make the play-offs and promotion is far from certain
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 My summary: Svens appointment, start doing well. Towards the end We had a few lifelines. and plenty of games to go to reach the top 6. We surrendered too many leads in the last minutes. E.g Boro, PNE, QPR etc. Along with other games we should've done better e.g. Palace, Cov, Pompey, Cardiff
ta-fc Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Probably the most sensible post I've read on here in some time, really sums up our season... I've been saying for some time that managers need an extended period to impart there knowledge and style of play on the players... I agree Sousa was sacked at the right time if we'd have given him much more we would have been mired in a relagation scrap... Assuming Sven isn't whisked off to a prem/la liga club I'm confident we can be up there... Now bog off and let the 'we shouldn't have let Pearson go' mourners take back over!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Dead right Col City Fan. Anyone who reckons we'll walk it next season is deluded. Its pretty obvious (to me) there will be a big clear out in the summer. So to start assuming we will walk the league is stupid.

The point for me Stu is that none of have really have any idea who is gonna be at the Club next season. Will the loanees stay, will a bid come in for Andy King etc etc.. so to make predictions at this point is futile really. In addition, I genuinely think the league will be tougher next season than this. Finally, the teams coming down will be very strong. We will know more in the summer I guess

There is going o be a considerable amount of money floating around next year and it'll be all about who can pull the decent players away and to their clubs. And of course there will be those promoted who will have momentum. Articulus Maximus
