SOCCERROO FOX Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 I do all my betting on-line now then you don't have the temptation of trying to double it or buying everyone drinks like you own the joint.
beduffrich Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 Where are you located on matchdays? One of my Uncle's guests had a problem, having a disagreement with one of the betz staff over a particular payment on some score bet midway through the season and he seemed shocked by the way he was spoken to. Probably you eh?... I only started working there toward the end of the season so it couldn't have been me. I always try to be chatty and friendly, it's a hobby for me not a job.
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 I can understand why it would be more convenient for people to collect in cash but it does say on the slip that online collection may have to be turned to and by all accounts it's not a difficult process. A bookie failing to have enough cash to pay people on the day, or have a back up plan, is just stupid management. The failure of the club to take any responsibility in the affair is absolutely atrocious and a further example of the little respect it has for us poor fans. I had a 3-3 draw at 40-1. For a number of reasons I'm glad that didn't come in now. It's the only time I've ever betted with FCBetz because I'm not a huge fan of betting with companies that don't have permanent town centre branches and I prefer to place my bet on the morning of the game before enjoying a pint. In fact, the pint - bet combo is one of my favourite parts of a football day.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 Coral are the best bookies are they not 'iwan is a welshman?'
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 They are crap to use. Queues too long, staff not knowing what to do etc. Coral are the best bookies- they overpaid me by about 90quid the other week
pablos111 Posted 21 May 2011 Author Posted 21 May 2011 Just an update, withdrew from account on 10th and in bank on 12th so about 5 days in all to getting cash back. Anyway FCBetz wont be getting my business next season im afraid, so it will be bets placed down the road at Laddy's on the way to the ground. Unless of course they reinstate a reputable bookmaker, here's hoping someone from LCFC read this thread..
DB11 Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Earlier in the season when we played Leeds my mate had a bet on King to score. It printed out halfway in the box between King and Snodgrass. Fortunately, both scored! The bookie just asked him who he'd had on and he said Snodgrass as that was the higher odds
