Looking for past player

Hi everyone, just wondered if theres anyway of finding out past players [my grandad was a goalkeeper, number one] i think he said it was for wellington or it might be for a team around there im doing a family history book for my little sister for her [as shes now being looked after by our old social worker, whos retired] and i thought it might be nice to do a big book of our familys history but im stuck with our grandad
