Does anyone know what Steve Whitworth is up to these days?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

In case you don't this already, Fossils and Foxes says that he "dropped off the public radar after leaving the game, but is believed to have been involved in a North London hire-car business".

http://website.lineone.net/~the-archer/archer/2002May08.PDF

its an article about the GLH dinner awards . GLH is the greater London Hire company and mentiones a Steve Whitworth ex England International who used to work for a subsidary of the GLH although this was back in 2002 so no recent info on him really...

Here is a photo of him, apparently from the 70's when he played for us.... related to Phill Gee? :dunno:

When i was working in London in the late eighties he was on the road for Hilti, as a rep.

I couldnt believe it was him at 1st as he was one of my heroes.

He said he was doing a bit of coaching school kids in Hamstead North London as well.

If you can catch anything on the back of this info ?

Good luck?

He must be still around, because he's listed as one of Walshy's "guest speaker contacts"

Mind you, so are half of our players from the last 30 years, including a couple that live in Australia :D

Couldn't help but notice this on a Man UTD forum about "unprolific scorers":

Meanwhile, Leicester defender Steve Whitworth played 399 times for Leicester between 1969 and 1979 and only scored once - in the 1971 Charity Shield 1-0 win against Liverpool. All of which puts Ade Akinbiyi's Leicester labours firmly in the shade.
