Cycle for the City

Recommended Posts

In an attempt to reduce my CO2 footprint I shall be cycling to all City's home games this season, using the splendidly appointed (ahem) cycle rack the other side of the road from the Family Stand. Two points: 1) don't any of you bastards nick my bike during the game or I won't be able to get home; 2) does anyone else cycle to matches?

I hasten to add, I won't be cycling to the Sky Blue Scum as it could get a bit hairy on the M69. I might take the bus though.

My lad sometimes cycles in and chains his bike to the railings opposite the main entrance just up from the memorial gardens.

Best of luck!

How far away do you live? Fair play if you plan on doing a days work then cycle to and from the ground on a midweek night!

A day's work? Blimey, that's a bit extreme. Abode is in Beaumont Leys. Straight down Beaumont Leys Lane, along the canal, up at Western Boulevard; 38 minutes door to door. Blue flag will be flying tomorrow (today).

Thanks for the good luck! Good luck to you too. Good luck to everyone! Well, Forest, The Sheep Shaggers and the Sky Blue Scum excepted. And maybe Leeds and Chelski. Hey, its the football season, time to go mad!
