stockyfox Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Some words, all beginning with the letter 'C, which, in myhumble opinion, Sven and the squad mightCare to Consider after the Calamitous resultsv Reading and Bristol City. If the team wish to aspire to be 1 Champions then they need to show their 2 Class – We do have 'class' players so they should flaunt it, playing with 3 Collective responsibility - working with each other toensure the success of the team, and willing to take 4 Control – taking the game by the scruff of the neck, dictating the pace allowing the 5 Co-ordination and 6 Cohesion of moves with positive anticipation of movementoff the ball - forethought, not afterthought, Then we need players to be inspirational and 7 Creative – starting moves which build and methodicallyintensify; having vision to switch theplay with the deadliness of a longdiagonal cross that is floated with pinpoint accuracy to the player's feet, thengoing forward with 8 Confidence and a determined self-belief in their provenability, giving total 9 Commitment that is acknowledged and appreciated by theteam and the fans. Finally, and this applies equally to us, the fans, 10 Criticism should always be 11 Constructive, never destructive. Everyone associated with the Club will be despondent withthe outcome of the last two games. We have two very tough games ahead of us at Forest and thenSouthampton at home with a potential Banana-skin fixture at Bury in between. The Club and theplayers need the support and encouragement of our fantastic fans more than everat this point in time. We need to get through this – and we will – but negativitywill not help!
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Why do you do this? Are you trying to look clever because frankly you look don't. Are you one of those people that like to put everything into little compartments
MC Prussian Posted 17 August 2011 Posted 17 August 2011 Pete, I'd love to be cheerful tonight but for some strange reason, I can't. I would like to find the error in the lack of (positive) support from the fans, but for 20'000 fans to make it to a Wednesday night game and to be so disappointed by a disjointed home team with little to no drive going forward and textbook schoolboy mistakes, no. I blame the team (and the manager). Because tonight there was no team and there was no manager. As much as it hurts me saying it.
stockyfox Posted 17 August 2011 Author Posted 17 August 2011 Why do you do this? Are you trying to look clever because frankly you look don't. Are you one of those people that like to put everything into little compartments In his commentary tonight, Ian Stringer used the word 'organised' and the team's failure to be 'organised'. The 'c' words I have stated are all features of the team's overall performance that were not very evident against Reading which I attended and tonight when I was obliged to listen to Foxes Player. We lacked any real control, we lacked creativity, the ball was kicked into the area more in hope than expectation, players like Mills were nervous, we passed the ball in midfield aimlessly, there was little or no co-ordination of movement. and after all the hype and build up, everybody had egg on their faces. We thought tonight would be better. Ultimately, it wasn't.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 You've stumbled across something here mate. Take it to Sven and the boys, let them have a read and it'll be sorted. Simple. You sound like David Brent
Swalker Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 You missed the one thing that we have lacked for a while now. Captain. Apart from Kasper yesterday nobody else was really vocal enough. There wasn't enough talking or nobody firing them up after we let the goal in apart from Kasper.
