Grewks Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 The reason i called Sven deluded was because of his failure to see that the 4-3-3 formation wasn't working. (I'm not saying that it will never work, but the problem at the minute is that the 4-3-3 is a fluid formation which means players are always swapping positions, and as the current squad is still gelling we need a rigid formation which gives players a strict role and job in the team which gives them an understanding of what is required from them). Although it has arguably took him 3 more games that it should of done and therefore in heinsight more points could have been picked up, it is now nice to know Sven sees what the fans see. Before today sven used the old footballing cliche of 'picking your best eleven' instead of picking your best formation. Whereas today he picked the best 11 and a formation which allowed players to play in their preferred positions e.g. danns and vassell. We looked very much like norwich did last year and in my opinion if we can play like that now and can still improve then we 'could' aim for auto promotion which woukd be an extremeley good achievement considering our previous visit to league 1. Yes we have spent a lot of money, but previous years we have spent very little so if we are buying the league then others have tried (and failed) over the past few seasons. Finally, i cant wait until michael johnson is fit so he can show Kingy how to play the attacking mid role. For me Kingy was anonymous today and it often feels like you have 10 men every time he plays. I, however, do not agree with all the vassell ravers, yes he worked hard but there was no end product, a bit like waghorn to be honest. If we can add a final striker to the squad then it would be great, imagine being able to bring on someone like Maynard instead of the subdued gallagher. Ishmael Miller also looked good for forest today and he began to change the game, would have been decent for just over £1 million and would likely recoop the fee anyway.

Jakemoore Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 I've wasted the last 5 minutes of my life reading this.

He won't so much teach King how to play the attacking midfield role, more like teach him how to play as a midfielder... And, when fit, he's supposed to be a lot better than Fernandes, who was MOTM today. If he can become this good, we'll have the best midfield easily

If he can become this good, we'll have the best midfield easily to be honest id rather have parker and noble than abe, king, wellens and danns. Maybe not fernandes or a fully fit johnson we will see. Does anyone know how long until he is fit, after all he has been training for a good few weeks.

Ok I'll go for xavi, iniesta and messi please.... Good Lord above...
