Northants Fox 3 Posted 26 August 2011 Posted 26 August 2011 Bollocks Yep, but i also remember going To Notts County when it snowed, game was played even though it ended in a Blizzard (we came back from 2-1 down to win 5-2) And i remember the County Fans were calling for the game to be called off..
samjohnson Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Time to get technical: The pitch is mostly sandbased ontop of a gravel layer and then drainage tubes underneath. Any standing water would be drained through these layers into the drainage tubes underneath. Along with the undersoil which works in to melt frost/snow (quite blatantly obvious that it isnt installed in Ipswich), there is a whole new world underneath the desso turf of the King Power.
