I wouldn't say the fans around him were overly keen defending him though

Houdini Logic Posted 19 October 2011 Posted 19 October 2011 If the man had physically abused a steward or officer then he'd be out there in a flash, he was obviously just standing and no doubt mouthing off when he was singled out (we've all seen the stewards do it, it's very uncomfortable, ruins the game and is just about the worst possible tactic for trying to keep the peace). I actually feel a little sorry for the Police (and don't get me wrong, I genuinely can't stand them) - they look uncomfortable to be put in that situation by the stewards, though it's no excuse - they're all a bunch of backwards thugs
