Guest Daniel Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Champions: Leicester2nd: Wigan Playoffs: West Ham Ipswich Sunderland Plymouth (a possible shock season) That should of been in the 'Official Joke Thread;
Guest Daniel Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 All of it pal. Leicester have no chance of being champions i think we'll finish mid table. Wigan wont finish second, will be sunderland or west ham. Plymouth won't keep up the good run, they'll end up about 15th.
Carlo Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 If anyone does know the answer to this post please PM me so i can go down the bookies and place my bet!!!!!!!!

On what basis do you think Sunderland and West Ham will finish 1st & 2nd, they're are not doing any better than LCFC at the moment. Not that I think we will be Champions, somewhere in the top six should be possible.
Mark Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Wigan will do very well, automatic promotion probably. Dont think Sunderland will go up automatically, they are shit and play like us And like us, they wont finish top two either
Muz Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 3 frickin games gone i cant believe people are saying were gonna finish mid table! We lost our 3rd game 6-1 the last season we were in this division and the stoke match we won before that game wasn't any good anyway but we still turned it round and beat Reading! You also cant presume whos gonna finish top or whatever yet if Wigan lose two games in a row they could be bottom there only 6 points clear of Brighton. Its to early yet wait untill 10 games gone and then presume.These post are pointless! <_<
Wellman Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 totally agree, i say more on 15 games because then you have played more than half the teams once.
Ash Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Its way too early to say , Some teams have good starts & and some teams have bad !
Muz Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Yeah can you really see Wolves finishing 4th from bottom?! Well................
Scow Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 I think the difference between Ipswich (6-1) and Millwall (2-0) is that for Ipswich, we actually played very well in the first half, but after 30 minutes, we used all of our subs and carried on with another 2/3 injured players - Millwall was just dire - No grit, no movement, no creativity, no nothing. So difficult to say where we and others are going to finish......We'll be top 6 at least IMO. Wigan look strong too, best striking partnership in the division.
Teeno Posted 19 August 2004 Posted 19 August 2004 It would take a massive disaster for us to not finish in the top 6. We will deffinatly be there in the top 6 but it's where abouts in that top 6 we will be. I am very posative and I'm sure we'll be in the top 2. Those of you that say we will be mid table, have a word with yourself. Have a look at the other teams and see how many you think are better than us? I can't really see any team better than us, yes there maybe some about the same but imo there are none better.
Mark Posted 19 August 2004 Posted 19 August 2004 It aint about how good our squad is. Its the manager and the way he gets us to play and team morale. Man City got relegated from Division 1 and they didnt have a bad squad back then! I know we wont get relegated but a good squad dont mean success. Middlesbrough are a great example of that.

I can't see how you critise him so much, yes he got us relegated but we're bloody lucky to have a young decent manager, theres so many duff managers about. He will get us promoted just like 02/03. I'd like to see you praise him aswell when we do well, but can't see it happening. He's good man and a very good manager (just look at his record and teams he's got promoted) I'm bloody pleased that we aint got a joke of a manager who hasn't got a clue like the Taylor's, Bassett's, and Mcghee's and Pleat's of this world.
DesertFox Posted 20 August 2004 Posted 20 August 2004 a good squad dont mean success. Middlesbrough are a great example of that. Er... didn't they win one of the three domestic trophies last season? Or did I imagine it and really they went down by 50 points because they had too many old players?
