marbelladave Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I quite like the look of that! Why not put Danns on the left-hand side of the front midfield trio (or swap Abe onto that side)? Or Gally for that matter. Danns has looked horrible in the wide positions recently, so for me it is central or not at all, if Danns is up for it then he would be my choice. The Peltier/Abe combination has shown promise so I would not disturb that, just a question of who starts on the left........

Beckford I feel Fernandes just sitting in front of the defense using his energy to close down and fill any gaps left by the full backs when they go forward. Also fairly useful on the ball, similar role for abe for when peltier gets forward. Abe reminds me of ji sung park with his hard work. Dyer on the left will create natural width and pace whilst king I'd give a free role when attacking to get in between the lines between their defense and midfield. Nugent would work the channels and be his usual self whilst beckford will need to be our poacher in the box! I know he has been frustrating so far but confidence and fitness could be problem for him and why we are not seeing the best if him... Defensively I think we seem alot more settled and solid with that defensive partnership than any other so far. And Schmeichel picks himself, his distribution and dyers pace could be a good out ball for us on the counter too.

Another option on the running theme:- Schmeichel Bamba, Mills, Tunchev Peltier, Abe, Johnson, Fernandez, Konchesky Nugent, Beckford Variation could be King behind front two, replacing one of central midfield.
