As someone who has lived with Crohn's disease for 15 years, which is similar to Ulcerative Colitis, this is not something that can be recovered from. It will always affect him and can sometimes be a very debilitating illness.

I'm very sorry for the guy - just hope the symptoms aren't too bad.

Not a bad player, gets his head down and does all the donkey work that others dont. Every team needs a player like that, doing the thankless tasks.

All the best to him, its clear his symptoms have got worse, if the doctors have advised him to leave football alone completely.
