Guilty!

Fair enough.

tbh I'm very uncomfortable with the police placing hidden cameras in some ones home. I also think it's wrong that these people seem to be tried again for a charge that a jury already a quitted them of.

Perfectly happy to accept they are guilty, but don't really think that's the important issue here. Much wider civil liberties at stake

I doubt this pair would give a hoot about anyone else's civil liberties. So wtf should we care about theirs?

This was always going to be a guilty verdict and it was always going to be murder.

They may or may not have put the knife into Stephen Lawrence that day, but let's hope this guilty verdict will loosen their tongues and the truth will come out.

There's two less evil bastards out on the streets now and that can only be a good thing!

This who case has been a shambles from start to finish.

The Police made an absolute hash of the investigation, and whilst I am sure these two were at least present at the murder, I'm not sure there was sufficient evidence to convict them for the act of murder itself.

The forensic evidence was gathered in a non sterile environment meaning it could have been cross contaminated, and the courts assertion that the jury had not been prejudice by the media reporting etc is farcical.

In addition it now seems that if the Police decide you are guilty of a crime they can keep taking you to court until they get the verdict they want, which is a very dangerous precedent whatever the circumstances.

Whilst this law change may have been used for the 'right' reasons in this instance it could easily be used for the wrong motives in the future.

Cases like Colin Stagg's come to mind, had the double jeopardy law been changed in his time he may well be in nick now for something he did not do.
