Head Honcho Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Anyone else watch this and get pissed off with the sentences given to the scroungers? Ripped the system off for £80k and gets 24 weeks in prison suspended for 2 years! Ripped the system off for £51k and 9 counts of fraud and gets 8 months! .............and this is just the tip of the iceberg. What's the point of taking these guys to court if all they're gonna get is a suspended sentence. It's a Joke
Captain... Posted 11 January 2012 Posted 11 January 2012 Didn't watch the program, but seriously, what do you want? They are not a danger to society so there is no point in locking them up and spending even more tax payers money, which is what I assume they were scrounging off, to keep them there. Was there any community service involved or fines or repayment of the money scrounged?

So absolutley no reason why they shouldn't try and swindle the rest of us, because remember it's our money, money that's there to help the needy and the elderly. It's not there to pay for McDonalds and Benson's!

Well you have not answered my question, was there any further punishment, do they have to pay back the money, and have they received an additional fine or community service?
