Matt can you explain to me why so many of our fans fall in love with a player that runs through brick walls. When quality players don't get no time from them. For the money they are on I'd run through a brick wall too.

It's always been the same I think, our fans have always valued workrate above geniune quality. I remember a couple of guys who sat near me at Filbert Street who loved Robbie Savage and thought he was the key to the midfield rather than Izzet, Parker or Lennon.

So what we are saying is some of em would be better watching gladiators and lions than watching football cos they would understand it easier.

I used to love watching Gary Parker play and Steve Thommo before him, to name but two. I don't think we currently have any really good players... Even Kasper, who could become great, is still quite raw IMO (bet I'll get slated for saying that!!) I think peeps like Bamba cos he's different.. And his performances are memorable
chavdonk Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 Andy King is only a stand out player when the whole team is massively under-performing like last year bottom of the league, but he was the only person scoring goals so he got recognised as our best player when really he was just being himself on the pitch, going missing but popping with a goal, bamba is quality no doubt about it, but shouldn't walk into a defence that has kept 2 clean sheets in his absence, andy king has the potential to be a class act but he just doesn't seem to want it enough for me, i wouldn't even put him in the matchday squad with his form being so bad and the midfield really stepping their games up these last 2 games, however if he plays his back into the team you can't say fairer than that

acooling08 Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 The Mills - SSL pairing should stay. King shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the team even when he is fit again. It's like playing with 10 men this season with him.
