Guest Posted 5 July 2005 Posted 5 July 2005 As I will be at Grace Road, I cannot make the meeting tonight, but if anyone is going, I have a question. Boca Juniors promised that they would play a friendly against us at the WS this summer to make up for them pulling out of the Pepsi Max Tournament. I see they are in Europe this summer, but surprise surprise, they aren't coming here. Why is this? The cynic in me has already come up with about 4 answers, but I'd like to know what the Club have to say about this. Cheers!
Fox in a Box Posted 5 July 2005 Posted 5 July 2005 Last years fans forum was told that we had sign and sealed this ... macey again.... words are beyond me on this. plumb tailed wart snnooter!
Fox in a Box Posted 5 July 2005 Posted 5 July 2005 Will anyone forgive Tim if hes late tonight? if he get the signing of Gerry!
Vardinhio Posted 5 July 2005 Posted 5 July 2005 I think I once read that Levein didn't like these "big games". I'm sure he said it does not represent the type of opposition we will be playing against and so is not favourable. That may be your answer as to why perhaps he has chosen not to play them.

The Boca game has been a shambles from the start but why did city claim that they had one signed up for this year if they knew it was not true?

I'm not arguing that we have arranged other games to replace the Boca match (which I feel is a bigger deal than playing Celtic or Inter anyway) all I'm saying is that City claimed that they had a signed agreement twice to play Boca (first last year then this pre-season) when they actually didn't.
Guest Posted 6 July 2005 Posted 6 July 2005 No CL. The reason we aren't playing Boca is because City haven't approached them (if they have no other games arranged in the UK, it will cost a lot more to get them here), but the agreement is still there.

Guest Posted 6 July 2005 Posted 6 July 2005 Think I posted a bit elsewhere about the way the club should commincate with fans, and the L1 debate. Other areas were smoking, entertainment, a bit about the groundshare....what am I missing?
Guest Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 By the way, thanks for posting this on Talking Bollocks, Steven. Make one look like an idiot, cheers.....
