Rincewind Posted 14 April 2012 Posted 14 April 2012 Yeah that's the one. One of my favorites and a good one to prove his dumbness. He was not on his own though. I think Reagan came out with some gems as do all politicians which is a bit worrying really.
Earl Shilton Lee Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 A few people have said that he's really smart, but has the unfortunate habit of freezing up in front of the media and talking bollocks Probably not a good thing when you're President of the USA He was an extremely clever politician. Just watch some videos from the 1994 Texas gubernatorial election campaign. He speaks eloquently about both domestic and foreign affairs. When he was being talked up for the presidency his comments on US foreign policy were a million miles removed from his actions in power and from the daft quotes attributed to him. When he finally began campaigning for the Republican nomination and then the presidency itself in 2000 this all changed. Unless he had a quite severe knock on the head then this was quite deliberate. He was painted as this folksy man of the people, in contrast to the very managerial presidency of Bill Clinton with which Al Gore was of course very closely linked as Vice President. I'm not suggesting that the unfortunate turn of phrase was deliberately cultivated but the image was. In short the stupidity stuff was all a bit of a con. The man may be a cvnt but he was a very clever cvnt.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 The man was a genius...oops i mis-spelt that... the man was a total cvnt Brilliant
