Underdog Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 This might have been mentioned before but does anyone think that we have a real problem with discipline at the club this season which might have cost us dearly? Off the field there have been a few well publicised incidents but just look at these stats for what's happened on the pitch. http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/ClubDiscipline/0,,10794~20117,00.html Have we just been really unlucky with sh!t refs? Or is there something more sinister going on? Thoughts? 2009/10 - Pearson's previous full season. 57 Yellow Cards 3 Red Cards 2 Penalties Conceded 2010/11 - Under Sousa 7 Sven 53 Yellow Cards 3 Red Cards 4 Penalties 2011/12 (so far) 64 Yellow Cards 9 Red Cards 10 Penalties Conceded

burni Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I agree we've had some shocking decisions against us and practically nothing for us, but with a record like that it can't all be blamed on the ref. Had we had the discipline of the previous few seasons I firmly believe we would be at least the playoffs, we would of won more games got more momentum etc... I think its 50% the teams fault, 50% the refs fault
RyanB89 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 i think most if not all the red cards were justified, except kaspers.
Fox92 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Although I'm not backing certain referees up (had some bad ones this season), I'm not blaming them. Every other team has to put up with them. The discipline is obviously a problem but it has to be the players? Because the last time Nigel was here, we didn't have many red cards and penalties against us. But that was the squad Pearson built himself, is that why? As above though, most of our red cards, if not all, deserve to be red cards. We have made some stupid fouls as well.
wellyfox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 How many reds were automatic red card and how many two yellows can anyone find out? No excuse for two yellows what so ever you've had ya warning.
