Thracian Posted 9 July 2005 Posted 9 July 2005 Is Charles Clarke still in his job this morning? Noddy's Home Secretary "Big Ears" declares this morning that he presided over reducing the terrorist alert security levels in the run up to the London bomb blasts because the risk was deemed to have been "slightly lower". People I know have been sacked for persistent bad time-keeping, feigning illness, sloppy dress and behaviour at work, indiscreet remarks. Where does contributing to getting loads of people killed stand in the scheme of things? Making judgements about security is one of the Home Secretary's jobs It is an inexact science for much of the time but with the Olympics decision and the G8 Summit at the same time did it really take a brain of Britain to decide that the TIGHTEST SECURITY POSSIBLE was the RIGHT and only responsible decision?. One security expert described it as "an amazing cock-up". Well Big Ears' cock-up contributed to costing lots of lives, led to hundreds of seriously injured, was an embarrassment and a disaster for the country, has left hundreds of families shattered and distraught. It was his call and he blew it big time. He should go and go now and so should the people who advised him. Clarke is even daft enough to declare that Thursday's attack "came out of the blue". Imagine you're a terrorist trying to think of a date to bomb Britain. Which date would you pick? With the G8 leaders onshore was there really likely to be a more publicity generating time to strike? The Olympics offered a bonus and even the 7/7 date had a ring. "Out of the blue?" Mr Clarke?. Piss off. You've let Britain down and if you were a Roman you'd have fallen on your sword by now.
lush Posted 9 July 2005 Posted 9 July 2005 Spot on Thracian. The beweildered look on marxist clarke`s face, tells the story of a `man` win no understanding of his job, and more importantly, no understanding of how to protect the british people. The again i supposse his response would be that most of the governments security was based in Scotland. WHAT ABOUT US!!??
