I don't doubt that scare stories are occasionally used to convince us of a certain course of action when (the powers that be decide) it's necessary but Darko was accusing the govt of using the anniversary of 9/11 to control and then complaining that they weren't. Maybe there's no reason to scare us at the minute?

I wasnt complaining. I was expressing slight surprise. Im just a big moaner anyway, so maybe all this happy happy joy joy olympic stuff etc has just got me pining for something sinister to moan about again
