The owners invested a lot of money and you had somebody like Sven-Goran Eriksson in charge, who brought in a lot of players for large transfer fees. You see that and you automatically think ‘wow, they’re going for it and they’re going to do it’. “In this division though, you have to realise that it is a tough, competitive league and no game is easy. There are a good five or six teams that could be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. You can make all the signings you want, but it’s going out there and doing it on the pitch on the day.
