Man City costs - & future confrontation?

I have posted this on as some may be interested:

An interesting article in the Times today (sorry I can’t post a link as subscription only) about Man City. According to their latest accounts they have 237 football staff with wage bill of £202m. I’m not sure of the definition of football staff but 237 it seems extraordinarily high (can anyone explain how numbers could be that high?). Apparently, their recently appointed director of football, Txiki Begiristan, previously at Barcelona, will be wanting City to play a 4-3-3 rather than the usual 4-2-3-1 used by Mancini this season. This might influence players brought into the club. Possible clashes next season? However, as Guardiola will be with Bayern M next season, he’s probably fairly secure for the time being.

They hope to get losses this season to less than £50m, which would be a quarter of 2 years ago. However, it’s still likely that they will need UEFA to grant an exemption from FFP regs coming in from from 2014 as “showing a positive trend†in losses.
