Deucalion Posted 19 April 2013 Posted 19 April 2013 I went on one back in 2004. The instructor said he was surprised I had been flashed at 37 mph in a 30 zone, as he understood Leicestershire Police had given a threshold of 7 mph. It was reasonably interesting, better than taking the points, but no thick/weird blokes.* Do the course !! * Maybe I was the thicko/weirdo?
FoxesAreBlue Posted 19 April 2013 Posted 19 April 2013 I got caught in Manchester when I was lost doing 32 in a 30... Had to go back to Manchester for the damn course too but wasn't so bad as I visited the family up there. If was interesting and also full of people (including myself!) passing the buck!
flowwolf Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Tell them to shove it . You are not a naughty schoolboy with your hand held out. Make a stand and tell them you are going on an alternative course called speed camera awareness. Take the points pay the fine and be free from this nanny state bullying.
DB11 Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 It's so boring and long and rubbish. I didn't benefit from it at all (other than not getting three points, which would have meant I had to receive my test for accruing six in two years of passing). I only took it as a "get out of jail" option ie. not have to declare to insurance or get points on licence
