Most shots on goal this season, plus I think when you add together shots on, shots off and hitting woodwork we come top too. This interested me because I felt last season that our biggest problem was that we didnt put away enough chances when they came, especially in big moments. In other words we were creative and reasonably solid at the back but a bit wasteful. 2 or 3 splurges against poor opposition maybe gave our GD a falsely healthy look. It also seems to knock on the head the "Pearson is negative" complaint perhaps? Maybe his issue us coaching or man managing goal scorers. Seems apt, in a terrible way, that our season ended with a failure to score with a gilt edged chance from the penalty spot... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
